My first child never had much diaper rash, so the first time we had a nasty bout that didn't clear up with Desitin or Butt Paste or A&D, I was at a complete loss. I called our doctor who immediately recommended Triple Paste. I had seen coupons for $1 off in the office (and now pick up a couple at every visit!), but I hadn't tried it. After getting NO results from other product, I was amazed when I immediately saw a difference after one application. It took less than two days to clear up entirely. For a while, I saved it (because of the expense) for bad rashes, but after having a few moderate rashes get bad, I decided it would be best for my baby to just use Triple Paste at the first sign of even the slightest rash.
Look around for the best price. Sometimes it's cheapest in the tube (which is nice for diaper bags); sometimes it's cheaper in larger tubs (like this size). You don't need a lot for it to work, but I like to have one in each of the different places that I change my son's diapers.
