I found mine at a consignment store for $25, missing all its accessories, but now that I know its retail price ... if I was on a budget and had to choose one splurge for baby prep, this would be it. It's not chic but it isn't completely ugly. The photos don't show how nice the fabric and the sewing is - you can tell by looking at it, that it's a top-notch bag.
Don't underestimate its size. The well organized pockets and convenient square shape let me carry everything I need for even a long day - right down to my Moby wrap and laptop. The water bottle holder is big enough that my 750ml bottle fits easily, the cell phone pocket on the strap is in exactly the right place, and I can always find everything I need because of the great pockets inside.
(have I mentioned it has great pockets inside?!)
The strap is perfectly placed and padded, with strong velcro and clasp that also let go quickly so you can get out without hoisting it over your head. It doesn't need a lot of adjusting to fit very well, and it sits securely enough that you truly never have to steady it or catch it with another hand because you stood or bent the wrong way. I'm quite confident unloading the car into my apartment with the car seat in one hand, groceries in the other hand, and this on my back.
And it doesn't hurt!
After the baby this will end up being my favorite pack for day-tripping, and for when I'm back on campus hauling books around, and for plane trips, and ... and ... !!
