(More customer reviews)After the first night, we thought this sleep sack was ok. It fit fine, and the mesh opening at the bottom did seem to keep the boy's feet from getting too stinky. But there were issues: The satin lining makes it kinda hard to hold the baby--he slid around inside it too much. And the zipper is terrible! It feels chintzy from the first time you use it--the pull tab gets stuck. And then on the second morning, we brought our son into bed with us. After a little while we noticed little blue flecks on our sheets. The paint was peeling off the zipper's pull tab! I'm not a maniac about baby safety, and I understand that my boy will be exposed to things and put all kinds of dirt into his mouth, but I certainly don't want it to be detritus that comes off his supposedly baby-safe clothing.
If it weren't for the zipper, I'd give this two or three stars. But because of that, it gets one. How hard would it have been for the manufacturer to use a better zipper?

It secured well; the wind hasn't torn it off yet. It appears to have plenty of head room for my daughter, though it is a bit more challenging getting her in and out now. Well worth the trade off, either a happy daughter or a hot miserable one. I choose happy. Hope this helps!!!

Safety 1st Aerolite Travel System, Orion Review

(More customer reviews)This is a great travel system because its VERY light compared to other systems and the car seat goes up to 35 lbs.! The colors are lime green and brown (a bit brighter in person~and trendy for mom) and the fabric is soft yet easy to wipe clean. The size of the system is also great for small cars (we have a Honda Civic). Also, when the stroller is folded up, it is so much smaller than other ones I've seen. To me, this makes sense over the Graco 32 and 35 Snugrides because it is less money, not nearly as bulky (stroller and carseat are lighter and more narrow), and the fabric can be wiped up right away (plus, its really cute). The basket under the stroller is plenty big, and the cup holders are always nice. I also like how the car seat handle is shaped. It is curved so you can fit it nicely in that nitch by your elbow, and the actual handle isn't so wide making it really easy to get a good, comfortable grip on it. As far as putting it together, the wheels were a little tricky, but no big deal if you have standard tools. Overall, I would recommend this product to anyone. Its a newer product, but I can't find anything to complain about. Its awesome! And I'm a really picky person!

This is what I do:
Fill up the bottle with formula (or milk), make sure the edge of the bottle is clean. Now wet the nipple (the inside rubber part) thoroughly (this is the 'trick'). When you screw on the nipple, go slowly, make sure it's straight on, and don't over tighten. With the wet nipple, you can sort of feel (and hear) when it gets a good seal, it's sort of a "suction" noise.

Railroad Train Baby Boy Crib Nursery Bedding Set 10pcs Review

(More customer reviews)There aren't a lot of train bedding sets out there (DH loves trains and wants to do the railroad theme in the baby's room), so I'd been keeping my eye on this one for a while. When it was discounted to ~75% off, I really couldn't argue at that point, despite some of the not-so-great reviews. We did prefer other sets, but 1) this is a baby (he won't care!) and 2) the exhorbitant price of the other sets just wasn't worth it (again...this is a baby! He doesn't need a $90 quilt that he can't use anyway!).
The product came in a nice little carrying case (not that I'll ever use it again). I immediately washed it all and for the most part it washed well. The little pillow, however, didn't fare so well. It does all say machine-washable but the fluff inside the pillow (there wasn't much to begin with) got all bunched up in the wash. That's okay...it's not like baby will be using the pillow anyway. It's a little misshapen, but I put it on my glider just for decoration. It'll do.
The material is kind of thin, so at first some of it looked dirty, but upon closer inspection it's just that you can sort of see through to any fabric underneath. Again, the first washing went fine, but I agree with other reviewers that it might not hold up to several washings. However, at the price (I paid under $50 for the 10-piece set), I could get 2-3 sets for the price of one other train set!
I guess my biggest complaint is with the bumper...it doesn't fit around the crib. We have a (Babies R Us) europa baby Palisades convertible crib, and the bumper didn't cover one of the short sides (easiest way to describe it). The ties aren't sewn on very well (they pull off easily, but sewing a tie back on is no big deal) and they don't match up with the rails, so it pulls in some areas and bunches in others. I'm still not sure which side (or partial side) to leave un-bumpered. However, since this is one of the pillow-filling bumpers, it's not recommended for baby's use anyway. What I'm thinking of doing is removing the bumper, snipping off all the ties, and having DH put it up on the top of the wall and use it as decoration (like a fluffy border) instead. Of course, you can't use the quilt for baby either, and both are really super-cute, so I'd like to do SOMETHING with them both. I think we'll end up buying one of those breathable mesh bumpers instead...they come in tons of colors so we can easily get something to match...or maybe something neutral in case the next baby (whenever that is) is a girl!
The sheet (we have a Colgate classica foam mattress) and dust ruffle fit great (which doesn't make a lot of sense, since the bumper doesn't fit...) and it all irons very easily. I wish it would come with extra valance pieces instead of the bib (same thinnish material) or diaper stacker (what am I supposed to hang the diaper stacker on? The crib? Who changes a baby in the crib?!). We have two windows in the room and putting one valance on each might look a little funny since they'd be stretched out, but it'll work.
I put the toy holder on the outside of the crib next to my glider. I'm not sure why I'd put it in the crib...he won't be playing with any toys at first, and when he gets older I'm worried it will be a safety concern. On the outside of the crib, it's not like the baby could reach the toys in there (maybe it's so that the toys are accessible for parents' use...???), so I figure I'll have it next to the glider and I can put breast pads or something in there.
Overall...the price is fantastic. Quality is a little lacking and it's annoying that the bumper doesn't fit, but I figure in the end it'll all work. When our little guy gets older he'll probably want a different theme anyway. I just can't justify spending tons of $$$ on bedding for an infant!

(More customer reviews)Before anyone purchases this stroller, I think they need to seriously consider how the stroller will be used. If you live in an urban area and always keep this stroller assembled...it would be a great stroller. If you live in a suburb, or your primary form of transportation is a vehicle, this stroller is a very poor choice. It breaks down into three pieces, and does not do so easily. There is nothing one-handed, or quick about the break down for transport. So, before you buy this stroller because it is the cool one, or the luxury one the celebs have, be honest about its limitations.
A few other Pros & Cons...
Pros
- Incredible ride & suspension
- Bassinet option allows you to use it for an infant
- Frame can be used with a Graco Carset...with the purchase of an additional adaptor
- Adjustable seat - child can be completely reclined, semi-upright or fully upright...and you can face them forward or backwards
- Adjustable handle - very important if you are taller
- Excellent break. When its on, the stroller does not move at all
- Very well-made & sturdy
Cons
- Price - for the unit & every accessory is an additional cost
- Dis-assembly...I cannot underscore this enough!! It is not easy or quick. Nor can you do it one handed. If you are trying to do so while wrangling a child, it is impossible.
- It breaks down into 3 pieces...the wheeled base, the overall seat base or bassinet, & the padded cresent-shaped bar/handle. This would make it impossible for airplane travel. Unless, of course, you purchase the $150 carrying bag.
- Fully-Assembled Size...this is a big stroller, especially when you use the bassinet
- Folded Size - it is NOT compact
- Every accessory is sold separately - even the cup holder
- Bassinet has limited use, and then requires a lot of storage space after you switch to the seat
- Shoulder straps are rather flimsy and really long. At the absolute shortest, they are huge on my 10-mo. old
- Bottom storage basket is difficult to get things in & out of, especially if you close it with the drawstring cord
- Canopy is too big for the upright seat - if you want your child to see anything, you have to have the canopy half closed
- Weight limit of 40 lbs, which is less than a lot of strollers
Once this stroller is assembled, it is a great stroller and rides incredibly well. It turns well and my son seems very comfortable in it. However, we are suburbanites and the constant break down is a PAIN! After struggling with this stroller for 10 months and cursing it each and every time I have to get it in & out of my car, I bought a smaller stroller to have in the car for quick errands & travel. The Bugaboo still gets a ton of use around our neighborhood and for bigger outings, but I make sure the breakdown is worth it.
The stroller's performance is incredible and it definitely has some Pros, but be sure the way you will use the stroller is in synch with those Pros and you're aware of the limitations.

Joovy Kooper Stroller Rain Cover Review

It has a vent flap that goes right across the front, directly in line with baby's field of vision. Since the edges have a seam, there are 2 black lines going across and naturally, curious beings as they are, my baby reaches out for it and pulls it in toward him. So, if it's raining, in comes the rain. I'm thinking about applying some velcro to keep it sealed up since it's really unnecessary. There are already small ventilation holes on the sides, and it's not as if the cover is vacuum sealed or air tight.

(More customer reviews)I bought this carrier because I was having back pain with the baby bjorn and thought that the hip belt on this carrier would solve my problems. The first time I put my 5 month old son in it facing forward, he was too short for the carrier and so I read the instructions to twist the shoulder straps once and did so. My son fell asleep in this carrier (which is a bit awkward because there is no padding for their head to rest on if they are facing forward) and I didn't think anything of it. About 30 minutes later my husband looked over and saw that his one leg had turned completely blue (i.e. the carrier was cutting off his circulation). This experience was very scary for me because if my husband had not been there, I don't know how long his circulation would have been cut off for. I see that this product gets 5 stars from so many people and I do agree that it is more comfortable than the baby bjorn, but because it doesn't have much padding, it can easily cut off an infant's circulation. I don't know if anyone else has experienced this, but it was very disturbing and I immediately returned this product.

Petunia Pickle Bottom Touring Tote Tranquil Tibet Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this bag after researching many, many different brands. I wanted a bag that would be stylish enough to replace my purse and also work as a diaper bag. First off, this is a beautiful bag. Even prettier than photos. It's not quite as bright blue as the photos show, but more a deeper teal. It also seems very well made. I get alot of compliments on it. I love that it's an easy to clean coated canvas. It has numerous pockets and I love the different carrying options. I use the short strap the most but also the stroller clips. It's very comfortable to carry under my arm, though, it's a tad on the heavy side. On the downside, because it's coated canvas, it doesn't give much. It's very stiff. As a result, it won't hold much, and still zip up. While it's quite wide at the base, the main part of the bag should be a few inches taller so it could hold more and still zip shut. If you aren't concerned about zipping it up, then you can fit enough in it for 1 child, maybe. I don't even use bottles because I'm breastfeeding and I still have a hard time fitting everything in it. Also, the changing pad is entirely too short. I've managed to fit a Kalencom Quick Change kit in mine to replace the Petunia wipes case and changing pad. The exterior pockets on the sides of the bag seem like they would be handy, but they are so shallow, and the material so stiff, it's hard to get anything in or out of them. While I love the idea of this bag, it's just not that functional or practical. I find myself packing a larger bag to keep necessities in the car for longer outings, which is working, but not ideal. Especially for how heavy this bag is, even with nothing in it. Luckily, I got this for half price so I don't feel it's a total waste.
