Hi, I recently purchased the storksak jamie diaper bag from gap.com. I was very excited to receive it. However, I would like to make some suggestions to storksak as what can be done to make this bag perfect. I know, this bag is famous because it is worn by Brat Pitt and all. Perhaps these people really don't have to worry about anything else but styles, which this bag has plenty of.
I love the supple leather and the simple look of this bag. I love all the compartments and the fact that it holds its shape, which is very important in a diaper bag. I love the wide shoulder strap also. But there is one fatal flaw in this bag: Being taller then wider, it tends to topple over empty or filled. A busy mom or dad really wants to look graceful not having to worry about the bag topple over. Also, this makes the bag not suitable for laptop storage later. Besides, the tallness of the bag makes it very hard to find stuff at the bottom of the bag.
I thought this bag would be perfect if is was made turned around 90 degree, making it wider then taller. Keeping the same size lending to great storage capacity, the bag would still be beautiful and functional. Another great option would be to make the bag square, making it a smaller bag for shorter outing.
Something small but worth noting: the side zippers that are hidden underneath a small flap look neat and everything. But in reality, the concealing flaps make the opening too narrow to access the bottles easily. It could become really annoying if you have to access the bottles frequently.
Again, beautiful bag but could be more functional! I am not sure if anyone would listen but I know diaper bags: I studied hundreds of them and own many. This is one of the most beautiful bag out there!

For those of you considering purchasing it: The bag has many compartments inside and outside. None of the inside pockets, other then in the middle of the main compartment, are big enough for diapers!!! This can be fixed if you are creative. You'll have to take out the stitches between the two taller pockets to make it a big pocket for diapers. Or else you'll just store your diapers in the middle space of the main compartment or the zippered compartment, which generally is used for personal items that need more secure storage.
This bag is a compact-looking small/medium bag. It has good storage capacity if you stuff all the way up. But the problem is, then, you'll have to start taking things out to access items at the bottom of the bag. This is something that can be alleviated if the bag is wider then taller or square. The dimensions on storsak website are correct.
Definately beautiful, good for pure looks and short outings.
